What is the difference between the John Deere E150 CARB and the E150? On Lowe's website there is a big price difference.

CARB = California Air Resources Board

The difference is the CARB model meets emission standards for use in California. I can’t say for sure what makes the emissions control different but it probably has components that more rigidly control the air/fuel mixture.
