Anyone know if the Deck from a HRC216K2 will work on a HRC216K1 mower?
I have the HRC216K1 mower and the deck is shot but a new one from honda is $600 but I can get the HRC216K2 version for less the 2 bills, which makes it workable to order and move the good parts over. I don't use it commercially so saving a few $ is worth it to me 200 VS 1200 new is worth it.
I see the HRC216K2 and HRC216K3 use the same deck.

The k2 and k3 are basically the same except the engine cover fan cover air box and fuel tank. Very very similar machines. K1 and k2 are totally different except the engines. Basically the original hrc216 from 1989 to 1995 and the k1 1995 to 2005 are very similar except the black to chrome handlebars are different colors and engine cowling is different. All still a gxv160. 2005-2007 is the k2 model and current model 2008 to now is a k3. if you wanna get tricky there was a hra216 made from 1986 to 1989. Awesome machine.
