Hi,
I have a diesel lawn tractor with a Lombardini 6LD360/V engine in it. However, I have a problem with it overcharging the battery. I assumed it was a faulty voltage regulator so I bought a new one at a cost of 」100. I fitted it but this has made no difference to the overcharging problem at all. I am now at a bit of a loss as to what is causing the problem.
I have tested it with a voltage meter and I'm getting about 14 volts at idle and over 16 at full revs, the (brand new) battery also starts leaking acid after just a few minutes of running so there is clearly a problem with the charging system somewhere.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
