DelVerde electric engine won't work

Hello to everyone,
I first have to say that I only found this web while looking for some instructions about how to disassemble my lawn mower. English is not my first language, and so I apologize in advance for the mistakes that I will probably have in my writing.
The reason why I want to take the engine apart is because my mower won't work anymore, and I was trying to figure out why. Probably because of the lack of use (it's been sitting on a corner for some years). But I still believe that something can be done about it, as the rotor spins (sometimes) when I plug it.
It would just make the sound of trying to work when holding the start lever but it would only get so hot that I was scared to completely breaking it. Now, after some cleaning done, and taking the blade apart I just got it to work, but the problem is that that will happen 1/4 times that I try to. The rest it just tries to spin but won't do, and again, would get very hot.
Also, I haven't succeed in finding anything about the brand of the machine. It says DelVerde 750W35
