Its obvious deer drop in spring, I've seen it all the time. And sometimes I see deer drop in the fall (maybe to do with the harvest) though the little ones tend to be scrawnier...But I can't say I've seen deer drop in the middle of the summer.

I was coming down my road and saw three **little** fawns mosying off the pavement next to a young looking momma. These fawns could not have been more than 3 weeks old. Do deer typically drop in the summer and I've just never seen it, or is this unusual?

we have deer born here from mid may to the first of august and it happens every year my wife keeps a sharp eye out she loves to watch the little ones play one thing is if the winter stays cold like it did this past year the late breeding season last longer than if it is cold then warm then cold again this past winter deer was still horning trees and making mate scrapes the first of feburary but like you say we have noticed the deer borned late stay small a lot longer than the ones born in the spring.
