So I'm new to the forum and zero turn mowers, but 50yrs old and been around the block a few times. Recently purchased a Cub Cadet rztl 42 mower and noticed after taking the deck off to sharpen the blades that it doesn't sit square under the chassis. Is that by design or is there something wrong? See attached pics.

There is 5.5 inches of clearance between the front right wheel and the deck wheel and only 1.5 inches on the left.

It is by design. IF you look at the deck and the RH rear you see it is pretty close to wheel. Actually so close they intentionly dented the deck for the wheel.
