Considering buying IS 600Z with the 44" deck, would the 48" because of the ICD deck be a better option?

It depends on your lawn size, and if there are any tight spaces to mow. Do you have a fence with a narrow gate? I have the 48" icd deck on my snapper pro and it cuts great.

No real space constraints. My local dealer had a 44" in stock. It may be a month until he receives the 48". I currently mow with a 48" and had some reservation moving down to a 44"

Good ?. If you currently mow with a 48" and like the deck size then I would wait and get what I want instead of settling for what's available right now.

I am going to look for a 48" next week. Any suggestion on the engine, Briggs vs Kawasaki

I am a fan of the kawasaki engine, however, the commercial turf briggs has gotten better reviews than their lower end engines. I think either would be fine. Btw, how much do you have to mow?
