Deck brake assembly spring

I have a 2001 huskee gt 46 inch deck
model 14AJ848H131

I was changing the blades belt it was getting dark and when i was removing the cover for the right pulley i seen a spring
I am not sure where this spring was attached. I do know it was attached to the last bolt i removed
