Daihatsu Diesel Surges

I have an older ExMark with the Daihatsu Diesel engine.

It has been a work horse for years.

It just starting surging while cutting, almost stalling at times but that is rare, it mostly hunts for an RPM but never finds it consistently.

New (3 cuttings) air, fuel, oil filters.

Try cleaning fuel lines including any joints and T pieces.
Dirt and debris can cause a fuel flow problem.
