hello all,
ive got my moms 2104 d140 with the EBSXS.7242VA motor. i have recently replaced the fuel system, line, filter and carb, new plugs and belts. when i finished with it it would start rightup just fine, PTO would engage, everything was fine. sent it back to her and the guy that mows for her took it out for about half hour and it stalled. it will now not start unless you cover the intake with your hand. once its up and running, it will idle fine, but the momnet you engage the PTO, it dies. does anyone have any insight into this? to verify it is not the sending unit in the tank, i removed the fuel line and put it in a container of gas. it draws fine and pumps fuel.

i reversed the position of the choke, now it fires on command, but still bogs when the PTO is engaged

turns out the RIO switch was bad. bypassing it solved the issue
