D100 no fuel coming even to gas filter from tank

i have a d100 - 31p677-0236-G1. 2010 model . I am assuming a line or pickup tube is stopped up. before i start blowing air and possibly mess something up, I was wondering what the smaller gas line coming out of the tank is for. I have read fuel return line on some models , or vent line on others. I am used to my older 2005 la115, which is simple one gas line with a vent hole in the center of the cap. fuel shutoff is ok on bottom of carb. changed out fuel pump.

The small line is the vent line.

IF it's a venting issue, crack the fuel cap and see what happens

Wondering when changing out the pump, you got the hoses crossed?

Pull the hose off AT the carb inlet. Check for a solid stream of gas flowing. Drain into a glass jar. Look for water.

Ah the ol' NIKKI Six carb. Not a fan of those. Some have good luck with them.

I thought the same thing about the fuel pump.

Trash from an open fuel can is the most common problem I see causing fuel blockage. Is your fuel tank on the back, under the driver platform, or under the hood?

Blow a little air back into the tank fuel supply with the cap removed, it will clear a blockage temporarily, but the tank will need to be removed and properly cleaned.

if you have to replace any fuel line, buy the line locally from a parts store. There is way too much garbage fuel line being sold online. Also replace the inline filter.

To prevent trash entering while fueling , most paint filters will do well to keep trash out . The last i bought was at a NAPA automotive store .

An old filter from a Coffee Maker will also work. ALWAYS filter the fuel. Some Funnels have an integral screen.

Sorry i took so long to reply. This was a neighbors mower, and he had the hoses crossed on the fuel pump. i blew air through both hoses and nothing was stopped up. Thanks everyone for your help. mower fired right up after correcting the crossed hoses.

It is easy to do on some models. Glad you got it figured out. Check the crankcase to make sure it did not pump the fuel into it.
