In need of some guidance for troubleshooting the charging system on a Tecumseh ov490 engine mounted on a White zero turn mower. Has new fully charged battery but will not maintain charge when in use!

I know that this manual does not have your exact engine, but the troubleshooting section for charging systems should help you identify the problem.
