CV15S RPM's

I just wanted to double check what I'm seeing. A CV15S should run at top RPM's at about 3500 rpm's with no load? I'm at about 3100 right now. But it seems too low. Especially when the blades are engaged.

What is the spec number? Different specs have different top no load speeds.

No such spec per Kohler Plus. All listed specs for the CV15 starts with 41### which makes them to have a 5 digit spec number.

Then that is the problem is not a CV15 as you have this thread titled but is a SV590-0017. This means it is not 15HP but is a 19 hp. engine

Idle rpm is 2150
High rpm speed is 3450

Ah, crap. Sorry man. I've got too many things going at once today. Trying find a flywheel for the SV15S.

Thanks for straightening it out.

How did you break a flywheel?

I was magnet fishing and caught a HUGE one. lmao

Actually, the flywheel key was broken, so when I got the flywheel off, turns out ALL of the remaining magnets (2 missing) were loose. In fact, one was stuck on the alternator. Customer is really attached to this mower, so he wants it fixed. For some reason.

He's trading me a good Husqvarna, with a blown engine, to do the repairs. I don't normally go for this sort of work. But the Husqvarna is in good shape. And I have an engine I can put in it.
