I have a little murray 40" I got for free and I took a bagger of a very old montgomery ward mower and mounted it on there it uses wingnuts and fits snug to the deck I had to cut a bit of metal out to make the hole on the deck as big as the chute and a custom topper for it so it doesn't blow grass everywhere.
Well it works fine for a while then it starts getting clogged up. Then because of the design with the wingnuts it takes a few very annoyed minutes to unclog. It has 3in1 blades on it and I'm thinking about getting high lift blades but I do not want to make the 40 dollar commitment yet. I barely use this machine (one property with some fields and large lawn) it only gets about 2 hrs use weekly.
So basically I am asking if there is much I can do to help. Or am I doomed because its all custom? Also it does leave some grass strands still standing in fields but not the turf so am also thinking a new belt (don't know if it has ever been replaced)
