Hello my riding lawnmower Kohler cub cadet model SV740S WILL RUN FOR ABOUT 45 minutes then it shuts off will start again only after letting it cool down I would appreciate any tips you may have

Next time it shuts down, check to see it you have spark. Sounds to me like your coil is either opening or shorting to ground when it gets hot.

Post the spec number off of the engine, yours may have Smart Spark and diagnosing that system is different.
