I have a Cub Cadet XT1 LT46 riding mower. It has a Tuff Torq TL-200 transmission. I noticed a few weeks ago that when the mower is off, I can roll it with the hydro bypass rod engaged and disengaged. I also noticed that while driving when I left off the hydrostatic pedal, the mower continues to move as if it's not returning to neutral and is creeping. This is more noticeable when letting off the forward pedal compared to reverse. I've jacked the rear up and it does the same thing.

The bypass rod is moving as it should and appears to be engaging but it's apparently not. I've worked it several times, lubricated it, and tapped it lightly with a wooden dowel/mallet. Under the mower, all plastic clips are in place, none of the linkage or arms appears to be bent. There is no grass or obstructions. The dampener appears to be functioning properly. It doesn't appear that I can adjust anything to return it back to true neutral.

Any suggestions?

Neutral Adjustment Procedure.

1: Place the tractor/rider’s drive axle on jack stands and ensure the tires are off the ground.

2: Remove necessary vehicle components & shielding to access Fulcrum on transaxle.

3: Start engine and adjust throttle to full throttle.

4: Hold Fulcrum shaft with 8mm wrench while loosening the 17mm jam nut.

5: Rotate the fulcrum shaft clockwise until the axle start to rotate.

6: Rotate Fulcrum counter-clockwise slowly until axle stop and start turning in the other direction

7: Finally rotate the Fulcrum shaft clockwise until the midpoint is reached between starting points of the wheels rotating in opposite directions.

8: Hold Fulcrum shaft with an 8mm wrench while tightening the 17mm hex nut.

9: Confirm no rotation of the axle by returning the controls (pedal/lever) to neutral from both forward and reverse.

10: Stop the engine and put mower back on the ground.

11: Reinstall anything you may have to moved to do this procedure.
