I have a problem. I’m working on my MIL’s Cub Cadet XT1 42” Model-13AVA1CS056 mfg- 2015 with a Kohler SV541 engine. The mower was working fine then on a restart the engine went to full throttle. The throttle control lever didn’t do anything. After looking it over, I noticed the throttle shaft on the Nikki 2005395 carburetor was broken. I took the plate and shaft out and the shaft is broken into two pieces.
My problem. I can’t find a shaft replacement anywhere. The carb is listed as no longer available and I can’t find a replacement part or worse case a replacement carb. If anyone has suggestions I would appreciate it. Thanks.

All right, so what do you want to do is buy any aftermarket carb off of Amazon compatible with your engine, Take the shaft out of there and put it on the carb with the broken shaft. You don't have to swap anything else, but you can swap the gaskets and o-rings if you want. Please don't use aftermarket carb itself, They run pretty bad, so you should keep your original carburetor and just fix it
Update: I ordered a new carb from Hipa Carbs that is supposed to fit Kohler SV541. The new carb throttle plate is slightly smaller than the Nikki’s. The throttle shaft is shorter and won’t fit the Nikki carb. So, I installed the Hipa replacement carb on the Kohler engine and it fired right up and appears to be running fine. I wish I could have continued using the OEM carb, but it didn’t work out. It’s a shame someone doesn’t make replacement parts for it.

Oh, hipa carbs are the best. Only aftermarket brand I trust. Great quality.
