So the other day went to mow the lawn , turned the key and nada. A very low click , battery light on and nothing else. Break was on ( no break light ) . Oddest thing it's such reliable machine , but getting older like me. Anyway not sure where to start. The starter motor never comes up and engages, doesn't look like it trys. It and the main ( crank, sorry I don't know the term) spin if moved manually. Seems like an electrical thing , but not sure where to start to diagnose . I'm fairly handy and good with a multi-meter and could use some advice, we really depend on this machine.
Thanks

Didn't leave the pto switch on possibly. After that may have to check battery voltage, maybe the battery has give up the ghost.
Thanks for the reply , PTO is not on, has a warning for that. Battery is fairly new , if going it would struggle to start and show signs last use. But I can give it a go on the multimeter, just in case.
Low Click...Bad Battery. I don't care how new it is. Lately even new batteries have not been dependable. I'm blaming the EPA. Get a trickle charger and charge them at least a couple of times a year.
