I have a Cub Cadet Lt-1042 and there is suppose to be an automatic shut off if you go in reverse but it is not working. Does anybody know where the switch is located? I am also noticing after the mower has been running for about 30 minutes if I turn off the PTO to move something out of my way and then get back on the PTO has about a 30-45 second delay before starting again. Is this a sign the PTO is about to go out?

Your model has peddle issues . Check for dirt or grass derby around the peddled. Your back up peddle is linked to the PTO - see what ya find
I removed the deck today and cleaned the whole thing from one end to the other. There is no dirt, grass or debris and the blades are still not disengaging when I hit reverse. The key is in the normal position and not in the reverse bypass mode. The only thing I see going to the PTO are a white and a blue wire.
