I have a cub cadet push mower with the mtd engine 173cc carb was clogged replaced it with new carb it starts on choke then dies immediately does not matter if you try to play with the choke it will not continue to run it is getting fuel to carb and has plenty of spark any ideas

Is the fuel fresh? The tank clean? How about the fuel line. Is there an inline filter? You started with a gas problem in the carb but it sounds like you still have one. Did the engine get full of gas? How about the plug? Got good spark? Good compression? Good seal up where you bolted up the carb? Is the plug wet? Once that bad gas gets to you sometimes it will not let you go. Keep looking.
