Cub cadet deck raise/lower pulley problem

I have a 54" Cub Cadet with a problem....the cable that raises and lowers the deck has sheared off the edge of the plastic pulley it sits on twice this week. When attempting to raise the deck the cable then slips off the pulley because the "groove" it sits in has the edge sheared off. It happened last week so I replaced the plastic pulley thinking it was normal wear and tear but it promptly sheared off the new pulley too so something is out of adjustment. Any ideas???

I have the same issue. I did the same thing. I am thinking if their was a metal replacement pulley that would solve the problem. I don't know where to find one though
