Hi. The PTO on my Cub Cadet above engages fine when I pull the switch up, but when I try and drive (push handles forward), the blades stop? I'm hoping this is a switch, but hoping for some help or suggestions. Thanks very much.

Thank you for the reply, but i'm not sure how to use this diagram? I was hoping someone might suggest a switch replacement or something? I'm just not sure what is failing and would like to avoid an expensive shop repair if it's something simple. Thanks again for any thoughts/help.

You have both steering arms, emergency brake, seat switch, and pto switch to have to check to be sure are working correctly. Look up details online on troubleshooting. Too much information to type here. Hope this helps.

And all it takes is a fail Aptiv (F56, Packard) terminal to cause an intermittent problem. Just recently repair a CC where everything work fine at start of mowing job to only it start giving problems 30 min into the job. Turned out to have been a fail terminal at the PTO switch.
