ok, need a little bit of help here.... my neighbor has a cub 2146 that keeps blowing the main fuse. the whole wire harness has been gone thru, with no bare wires, or shorts found. any ideas as to what to check, or look for next? any help would be greatly appreciated
First I would go to the auto parts store and buy a circuit breaker of the correct size and install it in place of the fuse for testing purposes. Then unplug all the connectors in the harness. You should be familiar with all the connectors since you inspected whole harness. Then one by one start plugging in the connectors starting with the closest to the fuse (circuit breaker) and when the circuit breaker opens the circuit you will have found which circuit or section of the electrical system is causing the problem. Find out what is operated by that circuit and test accordingly. Also, go back over the harness one more time just to verify you didn't miss something the first time.
