Cub Cadet 1525 engage problem

I have a cub cadet 1525 with about 270 hours on it with a Kawasaki motor, I noticed the electric knob to engage the blades sometimes cuts off at slower speeds and if I set the deck down to level 2, Whats going bad? is there a way to engage it with a straight switch or is it something else

There are so many wires going into the PTO switch and throughout the machine, they are a constant source of problems. Yes, if you're handy and can read a wiring diagram, you can change the switch, wire the PTO ON/OFF and solve a bunch of problems.
