Cub Cadet 1439 14hp Kohler

I just purchased (rescued) this machine. I knew it needed a new battery but previous owner said he had been jumping it off his car. I got it home took the deck off and jumped it to put it in the shed. Bought new battery (Interstate) installed it now it won't start. It had only been about 3 days sitting so I feel I'm missing something. Any thoughts?

Many thoughts. Which Kohler engine do you have? When you say won't start, do you mean does not turn over or just spins? Do you have the brake down? Are you on the seat? Is the PTO switch on or off? Help us if you want our help, as we are not there to see what's going on.
