Cub 2155 Hydro Trans leaking need guidence!

Need advise! Could I not just remove the axle housing to repair the leaking of oil here around the axle (oil seal & bearing) as it comes out of the housing. Based on the diagram I don't see why that one would need to remove the transmission from under the tractor. Just Unbolting the axle housing from the trans, what holds the axle in? All replies greatly appreciated.

only way to do it is to remove the tranny from the tractor.
be sure to clean the housing thorougly before opening the tranny to replace the seals.
