Is there a crankcase vent valve on Kohler CH20 engine. Main seal blew out. Mechanic said cylinder walls were scored. Replaced engine as labour to repair would equal replacement costs. I do regular oil changes but a friend said perhaps it blew the seal due to build up of pressure. Used to change pcv valve on my vehicles? Just wondering.
Scoring likely due to ingested dirt around air filter. My Intek has a notoriously bad air filter seal design. Dirt contains cutting particles suitable to use on a lathe. Sorry to hear this.
