crank shaft extensioner

Have a Briggs & Stratton 10 HP 28A707 Engine. The crankshaft extensioner came out when taking the starter clutch off. Threads looked bad. Bought a new one. Retapped the crankshaft threads, now what needs to be done when replacing the new one.

Red Loctite the hell out of the threads and pray.....

Thanks for the replies. This is the first one I have ever seen come out. I did loctite it today with red, will wait a few days before I try it. Hope it holds.

It was a shortblock replacement.
