Craftsman Weedwacker 316.711021 Want to change cutting head

I want to change from inserting pieces of cutting string to a spool head for dispensing the string. Is this possible?

Look for a Shindaiwa or Echo speed Feed 400, this is a universal head , and comes with adaptors for straight and curved shaft trimmers, I think Home Depot sells them, I bought mine at Ace Hardware. You can put new line on in a couple minutes with this head. I finally found the conversion chart for the Speed Feed 400, looks like all Craftsman edgers are NOT compatible with this head.

To replace that head you will probably need a push nut part number 791-610661

I think you may be using the wacker I bought. It has the same snap on stalk as my old Ryobi. I found I could snap on the Ryobi bump head and shaft, but that string wrap needed to be reversed.
