I just bought the new 20hp craftsman tight turn with the 46 inch deck and it is running rough. Everything is smooth on pavement even when the blades are engaged but when I get on the grass it rattles really bad and runs rough. It cuts great but the rattling and shaking are driving me crazy. Any ideas?

You might have an electric ground or positive wire connection issue . Hands and knees with a flashlight time .
If it is new take it back for warranty work. Sound to me that you may have one of four problems. #1. Blade bent or out of balance. #2. Bad or loose jackshaft assembly. #3. Bad pulley catching the belt. #4. Bad belt. It could also be a combination of these. Does it change when you raise or lower engine speed?
