I am sure that this is old news but I will through it out anyway. From new I had a hard time leveling the deck on my 2009 model no. 917.28921 riding mower. I discovered that the blades were not shaped the same. After replacing them it was still difficult to get an even cut. Looking at the parts diagram I discovered that the adjustment device would fit either side of the deck. I purchased a new one and nowadjustment is a snap.
