I replaced the carburetor . It started right up and began smoking blue smoke. What can I do?

Blue smoke would indicate oil. Did you tip the mower on its side that would oil to get into the breather system resulting in oil being drawn in and burnt, or clogging the air filter. Is the mower overfilled or oil smell like gas.
