Craftsman LTX 1000 Hydrostat won't move it

Mowing ditch & ran out of gas , well was on blacktop traffic coming, shoved it off rd into ditch w/o pulling release on rear end , now won't go forward or reverse, must have popped something loose? Thought I'd best ask before tearing into it.. help me!!
 
I'll check that, the shifter seem to have no tension, just flops around? I suppose it's under power all times while running ?. . I grab it & it seems disconnected for lack of better description
