Craftsman LT1000 Won't Start - Yet There is Hope

Hello!

I have an old LT1000. It has obviously been modified throughout its life as it has a non-standard Kohler engine. I picked her up for $400 and she ran great for the first year.

The second year she didn't feel like running. On turning the key, you can hear something attempt to click over near the engine, but no joy. Replaced the battery, solenoid, and ignition, but still nothing.

She starts fine if you jump the solenoid pins.

Any ideas?

YOUR complete engine numbers ..(see example) would be helpful , most member are un-able to
see that far !! ..:smile:
