Hi. I have an older Craftsman Lawnmower. Still in excellent shape, stored in a shed after using.
I am getting to old to keep yanking the pull start, I am looking for a Battery for this machine. Battery hasn't been used probably in 15 plus years now.
Craftsman 21 inch Lawnmower, electric start, shelf propelled. Running with a B&S 6.5 HP
Craftsman Model is: 917.378460
Serial is: 032702M013064
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ron.

Battery 750909 supercedes to 532048374 showing NLA.
Would you know if this battery is the one?
Haven't looked at the lawnmower yet to see the old one.
Thanks for your response, appreciated.

I would look at the old battery to see if the battery in your picture is the same dimensions. May take some creative wiring, but the now obsolete battery came with an adaptor plug. so maybe able to retrofit something.

Thanks will do.
I also have a Small Engine Repair license, but been away from this for almost 30 years. Had my own business, but suppliers all gone now, or changed hands.

99% of the batteries used in push mowers are a standard SLA battery. If the old one is still on the mower it will have info printed on it. You can use that to find a new battery.
Got it years ago. Took a night course in small engine repairs, my friend was the instructor.
Then I had to spend so many hours in the trade to get a government lic. I believe I was in business doing repairs for about 4 years when the guy from the department of labour showed up. I made out the application and was approved.
I think it is only good for Ontario Canada and up to 50 HP. I worked on some mighty big machines at the time, lot of farm machines also.
I live in a small farming town in Ontario Canada.
