I have an older DYT 4000 Model # 917272247 and the mower deck will not stop spinning. I replaced the switch up top and did not help. I dropped the deck and even unplugged the pto from the system and it still spins. I am wondering if it spins all the time or should it stop when the switch is disengaged. It just started happening and due to the ruggedness of my property i need to be able to control the blades. Any advice or troubleshooting hints would be greatly appreciated.

The bottom bearing in your electric clutch has seized and is now turning the deck drive pulley on the clutch instead of freewheeling. Since the bearing isn't replaceable will need to replace the clutch.
I was leaning that way, but I needed to verify. Thank you for the response.

Looks to be NLA from Husqvarna So will need to look aftermarket https://www.amazon.com/s?k=532174367&crid=3KU3HB10WXU4U&sprefix=532174367,aps,178&ref=nb_sb_noss

The xtremeope clutch x0167 is a good option for quality.
Thanks for the link. I was trying to find the oem clutch and cross reference it to a replacement. Little more difficult than i thought. Thanks again
