My craftsman dlt 3000 ran out of fuel in the middle of cutting so I put fresh fuel in it but when I crank it over it runs then stalls. Did this a few times then figured I'd change the fuel filter still same problem. I also disconnected the safety under the seat. Still having the same problem it turns over runs a minute then stalls. Any help out there would be great.

When you ran the unit dry, you probably sucked some dirt from the tank into the carb. Carefully remove the float clean it, the main nozzle and jet (that is the bolt you took off to remove the bowl) and reassemble. 90% of the time that's all that's needed.
