Does anyone have a source for a carb for a Craftsman chainsaw model 358.356090. It was built by Poulan and has a Walbro carb model HDB-8C. I need a replacement carb, because I don’t know if this one can be rebuilt. Hope to replace before trying. Thanks Rivets

I found the part number and lots of stuff pops up. You have to choose what you want to buy.
35094 carburetor
Let me do a lil checking also .......... I have a Oregon catalog thicker than the New York city phone book..........
Give me a lil while Mon Ami ~!~!

I don't see it in my Oregon book and my Walbro account site is not recognizing that carb number for some reason....
I did find a sears number on the kit and it's more expensive than the deal Blaze found for you ..... If that is a OEM carb from Husqvarna then that'a great deal..... I seen it was posted by HUsqvarna but you got to be careful with the fake names on the internet....
The sears number for the carb kit is 530035127 27 bux plus shipping but you can get free shipping if you ask them nicely.... That is pricey for a kit ...... But they have to get it from walbro then put their name on it and make a profit too...
How about a pic of the carb so I can see all the numbers on it ???
Thanks for your input. Blaz, I’ve been burnt by eBay, hesitate to try. I’ve found these two part numbers #35094 and 530-0-35094, but can’t find an available part. Boo chainsaw store says not available for the carb. Beau, I’m a tech not photographer so I have no idea how to do pics, plus the carb is in pieces on my work bench. I’ll keep looking.

Rivets...... That site Blaze put up is Amazon and is the real deal I checked it out..... If that carb looks like yours then yes by all means go for it.....
Husky don't want to get caught with 25,000 carbs and need to sell them..... Husky does build most big box store saws.......

Rivets I have more info for you... I called Louie the big dog at Walbro..... Your carb is OBSelete and the replacement is HDB 18
The main warehouse is closed for the day but will be be opened tomorrow...... I 'll let you know tomorrow..........
In the mean time you can look up HDB 18 ..............
Contacted Walbro tech support today and they confirm that the replacement carb is WBD-18. Now the problem is I don’t think that carb is available anywhere. I’ve contacted Husky and am waiting for a reply from their tech support and will be contacting Walbro again tomorrow. I’ll just have to wait to see what they have to say. The carb Blaz posted is not the same and has a different Husky part number. Thanks to those who are trying to help me out.

I have the main warehouse number and the big dog said he was sure they have some in stock.... A regular walbro sales person doesn't have access to that warehouse.........Dealer only type of thing........
I'll let you know tomorrow Mon Ami ~!~!

From the parts diagram that saw looks like the poulan 3700 which was actually made by pioneer/partner
I’ve got a kit, but don’t want to try to rebuild. This one is nasty and not sure that I can get it going properly. Last resort is to rebuild. Thank you IL, I’ll try to contact my partner supplier tomorrow. Everything I found lead me to Husky, but as we all know, nothing should surprise you when dealing with Craftsman units. Won’t be the first time I barked up the wrong tree.
Been using one for the last five years. They are great, but sometimes they can’t create miracles.

Ok the main warehouse is out of both carbs, but me and Louie are working to find a carb hopefully, that the body is the same and just a swap out of the throttle and choke shaft from the old to the new one... I have done that quite a few times on chainsaws......
Thank you for trying, I’m going to try cleaning and rebuilding the one I have tomorrow and if it doesn’t work ( which I doubt, not too positive) I’ll try to let you know tomorrow. It’s deer hunting in Wisconsin and I leave tomorrow night for the woods. Gone ten days, no WIFI, just relaxing.

Ahhh one of my past favorite past times ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Let me know if you get Dat Thirty point Buck LOL.......
Yes I am curious about how the carb rebuild is gonna come out..........
I’ll be more surprised than you if I get that tirtie point buc, got more than my share of bucks, now do the cooking and get out only when I really want to. Although that might change this year as I spent an hour on that carb this morning. Had it sitting in Gunk carb cleaner last night and put in through the ultrasonic cleaner for fifteen minutes this morning. Sprayed out every orafice with carb cleaner and after letting it dry, reassembled it with new kit. Installed it on the saw and it started up on the fourth pull, but would only run on 3/4 to full throttle. No adjustment would change it. The only thing that made it better was to change both H & L speed needles, with ones I had around. Now I could get it to idle down, but if you let it idle for 15 seconds it would over load and quit. Would restart and run fine until you let it idle. Called the customer and when he came in and I explained how it ran, he said no problem, he could use it that way. We agreed we would both see if we could still try to find a different carb. Thanks to all who replied trying to help. Leave for the woods tonight or tomorrow morning, be back in 10 days. Rivets.

I'll still try to find a match for you .....It seems like another 30 minutes in the US cleaner would might have done the trick...... This is the rare case that the welch plugs have to come out.....Easy to do ....
Well the tirty point buc is still running, but when talking to the landowner about things over a drink, he told me about a guy down the road who used to be in the repair chainsaw business. Tuesday he and I went over to see the guy, boy what a wealth of info. Not only did he have the carb I’ve been looking for, but I walked out of his place with $250+ of stuff for $100 and a case of beer. He’s by himself and told me everything I wanted he would sell if I bought him a case and we would sit and talk for awhile. Four hours later I only got through a quarter of his old inventory. I made three trips to the truck and had a friend for life. Told him the landowner and I would be back after the holiday season with another case and he said the same offer would apply. You should have seen three old farts, sitting at a workbench, talking about the old days. Sorry guys in Wisconsin, this is going to be my honey hole, don’t ask me where it is. Only thing I’ll say, it’s south of Lake Superior, east of the Mississippi, and west of Lake Michigan. Great hunting season, best I’ve had in years.
