Craftsman B&S blade guide sheared off

I have a craftsman mower with a B&S engine with the star shaped blade guide.

Mower model#: 917.370430
Engine model #: 126M021525-F1 11110858

I took the blade off this a.m. and the star shape has sheared off so the end of the drive shaft is now flat. I assume if the blade is not on dead center it will either wobble or otherwise damage the mower/engine. Is there any way to overcome this? An adapter of some sort?
