Hello All,
I have an older Craftsman 50 inch Garden Tractor model 917.273061 with a bad brake safety switch. I haven't spent much time working on it other than checking that the switch is indeed bad. My question...how do you remove it? It was enough of a struggle just getting the volt/ohm meter leads attached to it to check it out.

If so, you’ll see the plastic tabs, on each side. You grab and push in the tabs and the switch should pull out.
That's what it looks like but it appears you can't "pull" it out, you must "push" it out in the opposite direction and there's little to no room to work....don't know if that makes any sense. I'll take another look at it tomorrow. Thanks for the reply!
