Craftsman 917.270750 kevlar belt, mandrel bearings?

I purchased a deck belt from a seller on eBay. It is listed as a Kevlar wrapped belt. I am wanting to make sure that it is Kevlar wrapped. All of the other belts that I have bought (Gates belts) have all been green. This belt that I received is black. I do see a criss-cross pattern on the belt that the seller tells me is the Kevlar wrap. There are a couple of negative feedbacks on his eBay site saying that the belts are not as advertised. Other positive reviews say they are happy with their belt purchases. I just want to make sure that the belt is Kevlar as advertised. How can I do that?

Secondly, I purchased 4 new mandrel bearings from this same seller. I have not received them yet. Are the bearings easy to replace or are they pressed into the mandrel? On the diagram, they look to be simple to replace.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

the mandrel bearings are a loose press fit. The hardest part is getting the lower bearing off the shaft. Unless he sold you an automotive belt it is most likely kevlar.
