Is there an adjustment or tensioner for the belt. It's way too loose and is slipping not turning the blade pulleys fast enough or at all.

The belt is tensioned by a spring attached to an arm with an idler pulley on it. Might be the spring is broken/unhooked, or the idler arm is seized.

My sister in law stopped by this morning wanting me to order belts for her mower, And she has the same model of mower as you.

Thanks! I'll take a look for that before I attempt to remove the deck. It's a 98model in restored condition with 20 hp Koehler twin cylinder engine.

I grew up in Illinois in Burbank (Chicago suburb). Graduated from Reavis in 1962. Living in the mountains in Maryland now. Thanks again,

Sonny
