Saw is from 2002. Light duty - sawing 2 cords per year. Starts and idles well. Bogs down on throttle up and with any load on 18" bar/chain. Compression is 75 PSI. Added 10 drops 90wt gear oil to chamber and got 95 PSI. Should it be 110 - 130 PSI? Does this sound like cylinder walls scored and/or rings stuck? Ready to be recycled? Thanks so much. Doug

By craftsman I would say it a rebranded Poulan, any compression below 90 on poulan will not run properly and have no power. Have seen more than one that wouldn't even start below 90. Most likely scored cylinder wall. Pull muffler off and look at side of piston, most likely location. Might also be able to see cylinder wall be removing spark plug. Have seen more than one score in other locations but exhaust port is most common area.

Thanks so much, ILENGINE. I'll pull muffler and look.
