I have a craftsman riding mower from it starts fine, no forward or reverse gears. Very hard to push in neutral. I am thinking the brake is jammed. Going to go now and remove caliper and regrease. I took the spark plug out and still hard to push.

Any advice?

brakes were fine, Any ideas on pulling that free wheel rod in the back?

put it in free wheeling, went back and forth from forward and reverse. rolls nice in free wheel. still no forward or reverse

Maybe the drive belt?

I have a similar model and mine was the drive belt.
