In my opinion, I'd go for a regular blade seeing as how the mulcher set up for just that mulching, which basically is blocking the grass chute off and using the blades design with the fan to recycle the grass through the blade to fine cut it and set it into the ground. a regular blade will have more airflow as how it's designed to create the air needed to force the clippings out the chute. where as with the fan mulching blade it was more designed for recycling the grass back into itself for recutting thusby negating the need for much air force to force the clippings out because they are block from the chute by the cover!
