cmm 1000 red and green indicator lights stopped working

My first cmm 1000 battery lasted 11 years. Second battery 8 years. I just replaced battery and noticed the red and green indicator lights dont work. Does this mean diodes are bad? Will the battery run down and not charge. Just finished my second mow and all okay. Voltage meter shows charger is sending juice to the batteries. thank you. Andy
