clutch and drive shaft assemlies interchangeable between a MTD ? Internationai Cub ?

I have a MTD built Cub Cadet 1050 Garden tractor that is very simiular as an International built cub cadet 126. It has the disc brake rear end and has an aluminum tranny and transaxle. I need to change out the drive shaft and clutch assemblies but Im having trouble locating the new parts for the 1989 modle 1050. Everything that is coming up is for the lt1050. Will the old school cub parts work with the newer 1050 ? ie: 126/ 127 Mine has the manual 3 speed with reverse.
