Hi new here i have owned a walker GHS 20 hp kohler brand new since 2000 i have a few problems i need help on the circuite breaker on the dash keeps tripping is that for the grass fill system? if so i had a problem back under the grass box where their is a plug cuppler for the grass fill system all the wires got riped out of the plug i thought i got them back in to the correct slots but i may have crossed them up can some one tell me the color of the wires & how they should connect. also had the buzzer & grass fill motor un hooked so i dont know if i messed them also. if i reset the breaker the grass fill motor will move back & forth as it should & the buzzer will sound when i trigger the switch but it will only last a few minutes till it trips. their is also a safety switch that is hooked to the foward speed control that is gone crazy i have it zip tied shut right now so i can mow & it works would that have something to do with the circuite breaker?

Try to get a schematic and read it for proper wire routing. Look at the wire colors and the color coding on the schematic.

Try this

http://www.walkermowers.com/manuals/mowers/model-mt-manuals/8000-2_pub.pdf wiring diagram is way down toward the last page. Tried to copy it but could not figure out how to copy it.

thanks pumper. Look at pdf p 52 20 amp circuit breaker , red wires. That Walker has an oil pressure and oil temperature gauge. Wish an owner would tell us what the hi and low operating oil temps are.

I think for an air cooled engine 225F is about the highest you want it to get. Depending if you are using synthetic or dino oil. Minimum would be air temp. ;-)

Lots of "oil threads" here and they are as bad as the ones on motorcycle forums. I try to stay away from them if possible.

What motoman is looking for a month ago I ran a test on oil and block temps with different oils, I was using an infra red gun for temps, he has a gauge wired into his mower and his temps were quite a bit higher than mine.

We both tried to get other members to check temps but didn't get any numbers than what we did.

We both are interested in what temps he would get with a factory installed sending unit and gauge.

So Duramaxv8 would you give us temperature when running and mowing please sir ?

thanks gaines for the push:thumbsup: pusher. Is the 225F a reading of your Walker oil temp gauge?

Mike,
Oh I see. I have one of the infa red guns and if I remember I will check the Cub Cadet we have at the house next time it is run and also the Sears push mower.

To original poster sorry I hijacked your thread, did you get your problem fixed ?
