All the choices out there are confusing. I mow about 1.5 - 2 hours per week on my yard with a 46 inch rider, and probably haul it to town to mow my mother's yard. I have a little bit to mow that slopes.

I want something that will last, want a decent tranny.

Here are a few I am considering:

Cub Cadet RZT L 54 KW for $3000

Toro MX 5060 for $3900

Gravely ZT 54XL for about $4000

Husqvarna MZ 5424S not got a price locally yet but list for $4300

Also thought about the Kubota Kommander.

Any thoughts on these?

My vote-
MZ5424S
ZT-3100 trannies, 5gal tank and 8mph speed, over the similarities of the others. (Cub has a stamped steel deck, for its price)
Kubota will be ~$1K+ more, w/Kohler or Briggs , dependent on model chosen.

I have the MZ 5225 which I got in the last few weeks. great machine. A lot of bang for the buck when I compared them to the other mowers. If you go to the Husqvarna forums here you can find a thread from a user who bought the Husqvarna your talking about. He loves his machine and posted a lot of pictures with his bagger attached too! Good luck shopping! Go kick some tires and see what you like and let us know. Take care.
