Choke Link Off

FasTrak 54; Kawasaki FH641V-BS31-R; mower would not start and I saw the choke link had come off the carburetor swivel plate. I don't find part diagrams that show the connection piece, just the link. See photos. Any advice is appreciated.

Looks like the link is part of the shaft https://www.partstree.com/parts/kawasaki-16041-7021/

It's just the choke linkage. The photos are confusing in that it looks like it is part of another part. The photo with my finger in it shows if you look carefully the wire linkage goes straight back and then bends left. I think the link is okay. I just need to end that attaches to the choke swivel.

Yes it looks like the old style metal retaining clip has broken IE worn through.

Either the choke shaft (16041-0028) needs replacing or just use the newer plastic clip.

Yes! That's what I need to know. I think I just need the clip but hadn't seen one before and could not find diagrams that showed it. Big help. Thank you!

I got the clip and it's going to work for me, but I'm having a heck of a time getting it to fit through the choke swivel hole. I know it should be tight but just wondering if you have any tips for me. Thanks

Little grease and a needle nose pliers, is my go to.
